Hiya! Whether you’re lost, found, or upside-down, I’m glad you stumbled onto this website. Years ago, I worked for a cruelty-free company and learned all about animal testing. I couldn’t understand why animals were made to suffer just to sell a lipstick. But one thing we do have control over is how we spend our dollars. And so, in 2016, Compassionate Chic was born as a resource for anyone looking to shop kinder. Plus, playing with makeup while saving animals is really fun too!

When I’m not swatching eyeshadows or reading ingredient labels, you’ll probably find me with my nose in a book, doing a puzzle, or getting lost in a good movie.

I live in New England with my husband and two cats, Mittens and Dahlia.
